We collect several types of information from and about users of our App, including:
- Personal Information: Phone number (for authentication via Google/Phone Auth), business profile details (name, address, GSTIN, UPI ID, stamp/signature images).
- Transaction Records: Invoices, khata ledgers, inventory data, and business transactions.
- Technical & Device Info: Device diagnostics, crash reports, IP address, and usage statistics to improve the app.
2. Specific Device Permissions
The App requires certain permissions to function effectively. We disclose the usage of these permissions as follows:
- Camera: Used strictly for barcode scanning and receipt OCR (Optical Character Recognition). Photos processed for OCR are processed locally and are not transmitted to our servers without explicit user backup consent.
- Microphone: Used for our voice assistant "Alfaaz". Voice recordings are processed locally and are not stored on our servers.
- Notification Listener Service: Used to automatically detect UPI payments from phone notifications to auto-sync transactions. This data is strictly used for updating your ledger and is not shared with third parties.
- Bluetooth: Used for connecting to thermal printers for printing receipts and invoices.
- Biometric/Fingerprint: Used for App Lock functionality to secure your data. Biometric data never leaves your device.
- Google Drive: Used for optional data backup capabilities.
3. How Data is Stored
Hisaab+ operates on an offline-first architecture. Your data is primarily stored on your device and is synchronized to the cloud (via Firebase Firestore) when you have an internet connection, ensuring you don't lose your data if you change or lose your device.
4. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
- Firebase: For Auth, Firestore (cloud sync), Analytics, and Cloud Functions.
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements in the free version of the App.
- Razorpay: Payment Gateway for processing Pro subscriptions securely.
- Google ML Kit: For local barcode scanning and OCR processing.
5. Cookies and Advertising
The free version of Hisaab+ uses Google AdMob, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalized ads based on your usage and device data. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request to delete your data at any time via our Data Deletion request page.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our files.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
